FLUX VITA: When Life Changes Faster Than We Do
Participants learn how to remain grounded, regain control, and move forward when pressure, adversity, or uncertainty disrupts their plans.
The Story
One moment. A trained response.
On May 17, 2012, a mountain-bike accident left Tom with a C6–C7 spinal injury. Everything he had built his identity on — physical capability, independence, a clear plan — changed faster than he could.
The keynote takes your audience inside that moment and what came after: not a miracle, not motivation, but the discovery that our response to the unimaginable is something we train long before we need it.
Awareness changes nothing. Action changes everything.

- A fast sorting tool for what is actually theirs to control (Control)
- A perspective practice that restores capacity without denying difficulty (Gratitude)
- The habit of taking the next meaningful action before certainty arrives
- The capacity to name the storm they've been avoiding, move through it, and come out stronger (The Storm)

The Method Inside the Keynote
3 foundations, 1 intentional trained response.
01
Presence
Where are my feet?
It's the question that pulls you back, out of the story you're telling yourself and into the ground you're actually standing on. What is happening right now? Not what I'm imagining might happen. Presence is how you take command of your attention before fear, pressure, or uncertainty can take command of you.
02
Control
What are my choices?
Attitude and action are the only things you truly control, everything else is noise. Separate what you can control from what you can't, and redirect your energy toward productive action.
03
Gratitude
What are my strengths?
Every situation carries hardship and something good. Gratitude doesn't ignore the challenge; it means seeing it clearly and still choosing to focus on the good, using it as fuel to move forward. It widens your perspective, restores your emotional capacity, and reminds you what's still possible.
The Storm
Storms are part of life, how severe they feel depends on your capacity to handle them.
Presence, control, and gratitude don't make the storm go away. They build the capacity to move through it and come out stronger on the other side.
